In February we welcome you who would like to make your own tiles, pottery for your garden or other things you have been wanting to make, to our ceramic studio in Bize-Minervois.
We work with different types of stoneware and hand building techniques and we will do our best to help you create your vision.
You are welcome every Tuesday over a period of three months so the clay can dry and be fired twice. Three hours of teacher assisted work is 30 euros, paid on site. The clay will be weighed and paid for, 10 euros a kilo, before firing to cover the cost of two firings and glaze/colour materials. We have stoneware clays, slips and glazes in various colours.
What to bring: You will need an apron and work wear. We will supply the basic hand building tool kit.
The village has several nice restaurants and we have a kitchen to share if you want to prepare your own lunch. Coffee and tea according to the swedish Fika tradition will of course be handed out throughout the day.
